Using
the Internet Setup Assistant with Mac OS 8.0-8.1
- Double-click
on the Internet Setup Assistant
- Click
the Update button.
- Click
the right arrow to continue.
- Choose
Add
- Click
the right arrow to continue.
- In
the What Would You Like To Name This
Configuration box, type niinet.net (or
whatever you want)
- Choose
Modem
- Continue
- Select
your modem from the list or a compatible
modem script.
- Select
the modem port.
- Select
the tone button.
- Continue.
- Type
in the local pop or dialup access phone
number
- Type
in the username.
- Type
in the password.
- Continue.
- Select
No.
- Continue.
- In
the What Is The DNS Address box,
63.210.138.8 and press the Return key.
- Type
63.210.138.7
- In
the What is the Domain Name box,
type niinet.net
- Continue.
- In
the E-mail address box, type the email address
- In
the Password box, type the password.
- Continue.
- In
the email account box, type the email address
- In
the email host (SMTP) box, type mail.niinet.net
- Continue.
- There
is no NNTP server.
- Continue.
- Uncheck
the Connect When Finished check box,
Click the Go Ahead button.
- Close
all windows, Open Up PPP or Remote
Access In Control Panels Under the Apple
Menu.
